Background

Meegan brings to Umoja 13 years of food procurement experience for hunger relief organizations.  

Prior to Umoja, Meegan was involved in the evolution and growth of the Feeding America National Grocery Purchase Program. She established long-standing relationships with 50+ food manufacturers in both private label and branded products. She is passionate about creating honest, collaborative business partnerships to service hunger relief efforts. Throughout her career she has been actively involved in strategy development, creating operating procedures and analytical review presentations. She is excited to broaden her existing skillset while supporting Umoja’s mission of helping communities by providing access to healthy, sustainable food. 

Meegan holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Grand Valley State University and is an active member of WISE (Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence), volunteering on the Marketing & Communication Committee. She enjoys the personal and professional development WISE offers through webinars and mentor circles.
