Background

Brent Douthit is the VP of Non-Profit and Government Business for Umoja Supply Chain Solutions.  Throughout Brent’s career, he has proven himself to be a creative problem-solver working with nonprofits, both large and small, to develop solutions to procurement and logistical issues. 

Prior to joining Umoja Supply Chain, Brent was the National Sales Director/Senior Manager at McLane Global leading the McLane Hunger Solution team to record sales and profits.  He was also responsible for the scaling of McLane’s Distribution Ready Kit Program, providing food banks and other hunger relief organizations a turnkey solution to distribute food both safely and effectively.  Innovations Brent spearheaded, including Distribution Ready Kits, drove significant growth not only in the Hunger Relief space but also within both the Government and Healthcare industries.   

Before McLane Global, Brent was the Director of Operations at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana where he oversaw all aspects of their 300,000 square foot warehouse, food procurement, logistics, and food safety audits for the organization.  Again, through his creative and innovative approach to business, Brent instituted Direct Agency Pickup and the CARE Mobil Pantry Program, working with local law enforcement to distribute food in key high crime areas. 

Brent has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Bradley University and an MBA from Norwich University.
