Background

Allison joins Umoja as Controller, overseeing essential functions for our accounting team. She leads the production of financial reporting, maintains cash flow and accounting systems, oversees operational accounting, and develops the financial infrastructure and best practices for the company. Allison began her career as an auditor for public and private middle market clients. She then found a home at FCA Packaging as a Senior Accountant, applying her financial expertise to the industrialized packaging industry.  In 2017, Allison joined Elanders Americas, a global solutions provider in supply chain, e-commerce, and packaging, as a Senior Accountant. Her expertise in corporate finance and accounting make Allison a valuable asset for the Umoja team, our vendors, partners and customers. 

Allison is a licensed CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, with minors in International Business and Economics. 

In her spare time, Allison enjoys giving back by volunteering at local animal shelters (while trying not to bring any more pets home!). She is also very passionate about health and fitness, prioritizing exercise and a healthy lifestyle into her daily routine. She is excited to help support Umoja’s mission of helping communities by providing access to healthy, sustainable food.
